It is one of shortest treks organized in Khumbu region, which will take us Namche Bazaar, Sagarmatha National Park, Tengboche Monastery with the beautiful view of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho-oyu and Makalu. Tengboche monastery is the biggest monastery in Khumbu region and we can experience how Buddhism is practiced in Khumbu. It will be nice experience to be familiarized with Sherpa tradition, culture and language during this short trek.
This trip is especially designed for such trekkers, who are physically fit and have less experience in high mountains. Novice and experienced, both the trekkers, having short holiday and want enjoy this period in mountain region can also join this trip.
Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu
Day 02 : Kathmandu Sightseeing
After breakfast, you will be taken for Kathmandu sight seen program, which includes the visit of Swayambhu temple, Hanuman Dhoka Palace, Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square.
Day 03 : Kathmandu – Lukla ( on flight) – Phakding ( 2682m)
Duration: 3-4 hours
We will be going to Lukla in the early morning as soon as we complete our breakfast. After landing at the airport, we will start our short trek, which will lead to Phakding. Then, after an hour of ascending from Phakding, we will be at Cheplung village. From this village, we can see pristine mountain called Khumbilla of 18900 ft height. Then, we will descend to Phakding, where we will spend our night.
Day 04 : Phakding - Namche Bazaar ( 3438m)

After having tasty breakfast at Phakding, our trek leads us to the famous market called Namche Bazaar. We will also pass through small villages like Jorsalle and Mono. At the north side of Phakding, Monjo lies and it is the main entrance to Sagarmatha National Park. While going through the national park, we will also cross Dudh Koshi river to arrive Namche Bazaar. We can have superb view of Everest, Thamserku, Taboche and Khumbila mountains from this famous market of Khumbu region.
Day 05 : Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar
Day 06 : Namche Bazaar - Tengboche ( 3870m)

From Namche Bazaar, we move upward to Tengboche. We will find the biggest monastery of Khumbu region in Tengboche. We have to go through pine forest and crossing over the bridge over Dudh Koshi river to reach Tengboche. During the trekking, the splendid view of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Amadablam makes us refresh and motivates us for the wonderful trekking.
Day 07 : Tengboche – Dingboche ( 4360m)

Our next destination is Dingboche, but before reaching there, another place that we have to be is Pangboche crossing through chortens, mane walls and small villages. Accompanied by Lobuche River, we will enter Imja valley and climb steep trail, which will lead to Dingboche. We will be doing mountain sight seen with the view of Amadablam and Lhotse from this place. We will spend our night at Dingboche.
Day 08 : Dingboche - Lobuche ( 4940m)

It is one of the interesting and pleasant day of the trekking since we will be hiking towards Lobuche with the scenery of beautiful mountains of Khumbu region. The trail continues along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier and a small collection of lodges. During the trekking, we will also pay our tribute at stone memorials built in the memory of brave mountaineers, who lost their lives during mountaineering. We will spend our night at Lobuche and prepare for the next day of trekking to the base camp of Everest.
Day 09 : Lobuche to Gorak Shep( 5170m), visit Everest Base Camp ( 5364m)

Duration: 6-7 hours
On this day, we start our trekking from Lobuche following the lateral moraine of Khumbu Glacier. The trail gives the fantastic views of Everest, Pumori, Mahalangur, Lingtern, Khumbutse, Nuptse and other mountains. We will follow the trail and reach Thangma Riju. We ascend on a steep trail up to the top of Changri Glacier. Then we reach Gorak Sherp and spending some time there, we continue our trekking to Everest Base Camp. The route to Everest Base Camp is rocky, moraines and interesting. From the base camp, we see Nuptse, Khumbuste and Pumori mountains. Then, we move back to Gorak Shep and spend the night.
Day 10 : Gorak Shep - Kala Patthar – Pheriche ( 4288m)
Approximate distance: 16 km
Duration: 7-8 hours
Kala Pathar is the perfect place to have the fabulous view of Everest in the morning, therefore, we will have to leave Gorak Shep in the early morning to get there. We must be prepared to walk in the dark in cold temperature and wind. The mountains like Lingtren, Khumbutse, Changtse, Everest and Nuptse refresh us while on the trekking. After enjoying the excellent view of mountains from Kalapathar, then we descend to Pheriche and spend night there.
Day 11 : Pheriche - Namche Bazaar
Approximate distance: 20 km
Duration: 6-7 hours
We will trek down from Pheriche through the jungle of rhododendron trees crossing the bridge over Dudh Koshi river. During the trekking, we will have opportunity to catch the glimpses of mountain goats, snow leopard, pheasants etc and then, finally, we will be at Namche bazaar. In the afternoon at Namche Bazaar, we can spend time visiting cafes, restaurants, talking with local people and recalling our wonderful trekking.
Day 12 : Namche Bazaar to Lukla
Approximate distance: 19 km
Duration: 6-7 hours
Our descending trekking continues crossing several bridges over Dudh Koshi River and other small streams. Our trek going through forest filled with flora will become live and refresh when we see mountains around us. We will also go through Sherpa village and will get an opportunity to learn about their devotion to conserve their culture, tradition and language. Then, finally, we reach Lukla and take rest with the memory of mountain, lakes, forests that we have experienced in the last 17 days. We will take rest in Lukla for today.
Day 13 : Lukla to Kathmandu
We will try to catch the first flight to Kathmandu so that we can have more rest followed by the closing dinner with guide and trek leader.

- Personal expenses (phone calls, laundry, bar bills, battery recharge, extra porters, bottle or boiled water, shower, etc.)
- Tips for guide(s), porter(s) and driver(s)
