This is one of the best trekking package if you have less time to spend your holiday. Annapurna Sanctuary Trek also includes the visit of Annapurna Base Camp and it has an interesting journey through rock and ice.
Annapurna Sanctuary trek offers you to visit the majestic view of peaks capped with snow. During this trip, you will also have opportunity to spend night at the base camps of Machhapuchhre and Annapurna. The splendid surrounding around these base camps cannot be explained in words. The sanctuary will take you through the jungle of rhododendron crossing the icy rocks with views of glaciers and mountains. You will experience the warm love and hospitality of local people touched by the cold and fresh air reflected from the mountains.
Day 01 : Arrive Kathmandu
Day 02 : Sightseeing in Kathmandu
Day 03 : Kathmandu-Pokhara-Naya Pul-Ulleri( 960m)
Approximate distance: 9 km
Duration: 7-8 hours
This is the day when you will leave Kathmandu for Pokhara via deluxe bus or flight ( as per your booking ). From Pokhara, you need to drive for about 2 hours to cover the 40 Km for Yamdi Khola valley into the mountains to Naya Pul. This is the starting point of our trekking, going through the mountain villages and will lead up to Ulleri. (Total walking- 9 km, 1000m-1960m).
Day 04 : Ulleri- Ghorepani, 7 km ( 2750m)

Duration:4-5 hours
From Ulleri, we have to move upward passing through the woodland until we reach Ghorepani nestled in a high col. Moving upward in slow is recommended since because of the increase in altitude although the distance we cover is very less. We will sleep and take rest at night little early with an objective to get up early on the next day.
Day 05 : Ghorepani-Poon Hill ( 3200m)-Tadapani (2869m)
Approximate distance: 9km
Duration: 6-7 hours
If we are able to wake up in the early morning, then with the walking duration of 45 min, we can climb to Poon Hill to have nice view of sun rising over the majestic mountain Annapurna. This is one of true experiences, where you will feel heaven. After the splendid view of sunrise, we will move downward to Ghorepani, where our breakfast will be ready on the table. Then, we will pass through the forest filled with Rhododendron and will reach Tadapani.
Day 06 : Tadapni- Chomrong (2100m)
Approximate distance: 10km
Duration: 5-6 hours
We will go down from Tadapani and steeply up over a ridge to reach another valley called Chomrong. You will feel the trekking of this day very strenuous, but our stay at higher altitude for day and night will help us to feel convenient.
Day 07 : (Chomrong- ……. Hotel (2920m)

Now we will follow the valley called Modi Khola valley, which moves up to the heart of Annapurna. This valley is 1.5km deep and is surrounded by ridges, which rise up to join the mountains standing above 4km from the valley. If the weather supports us, then we will have opportunity to have the view of white walls of Annapurna. Then we will pass through small villages and lodges and finally arrived our designated hotel.
Day 08 : Hotel…….-Machhapulchare BC (3700m)

Duration:5- hours
While following Modi Khola between two mountains, we will have the nice view of Annapurnas in bigger size. Another chance we will have clear and distinctive Fishtail Mountain (Machhapuchhre) in the night. Although this day is of short trek, but we will have to walk slowly because of the increased altitude. The view will be more distinctive and pure when we reach the valley of base camp of Machhapuchhre. We will have more time to take photographs with spectacular view of surrounding mountains followed by short walk if we are interested.
Day 09 : Machhapulchare BC-Annapurna BC (4130m)
Approximate Distance:3 km
Duration: 4-5 hours
This is the short trek and we will be happy and excited to experience magnificent surrounding view. At the west direction, the magnificent Annapurna will give us its fresh and excellent view. There will be more time at the base camp of Annapurna, where we can enjoy with short walk for the excellent view of surrounding mountains and take photographs.
Day 10 : Annapurna BC- Bamboo (2310m)
Approximate Distance:13 km
Duration:6-7 hours
After this short trek, we will go back to Machhapuchhre BC and then to our hotel. We will experience the green surroundings and thick air of Bamboo, where we will have plenty of time to have enjoyable and restful afternoon.
Day 11 : Bamboo- Jhinu danda Hot Springs (1780m)
Approximate Distance: 9 km
Duration: 5-6 hours
Further coming down will lead to the forest of Rhododendron, where we will feel warm and dry air. Now we will leave the route near to Chomrong, which goes up and move down steeply to Jinnu Danda in the bottom of the valley. We will find some natural hot springs there and enjoy there.
Day 12 : Jinnu Danda-Pothana/Dhampus (1800m)
Approximate Distance: 17 km
Duration:6-7 hours
Our downward movement will continue to the Modi Khola valley, then we split off the main valley climbing to left over higher ground. We will find the villages clustered around a broad bowl in the wooded hillsides.
Day 13 : Pothana/ Dhampus Phedi- Pokhara
Approximate Distance: 4 km
Duration: 3-4 hours
We will have to walk down to the road from Pothana, where we can have our vehicle to drive us to our hotel within an hour. After check-in to our hotel, we will have time to roam around Pokhara city.
Day 14 : Fly Pokhara- Kathmandu
