ABC trekking is one of the most favorite and preferred trekking packages of Nepal of 11days starting from Pokhara. Mt. Annapurna is the first mountain above 8000 m to be climbed on 3 June1950 by Maurice Herzong and Louis Lachnel. It is adventurous and interesting trekking up to the base camp of Annapurna (the 10the highest mountain in the world) at an altitude of 4130m. We will have opportunity to experience the beautiful landscape, mountains, culture of local Gurung community, flora and fauna. We will reach ABC through Machhapuchhre base camp- another popular and virgin mountain, which is still not permitted to climb. This trekking package is excellent for such trekker and hikers have limited time and interested to enjoy diverse mountain ranges.
Day 01 : Arrive Kathmandu
We will give warm welcome after you arrive in Kathmandu and drive to your hotel where you will stay before trek starts and after it ends.
Day 02 : Fly to Pokhara, then trek to Ghandruk (1940m)
We will fly to Pokhara early in the morning and then drive to Naya Pul for about 1 hour. Then we will start our trekking from Birenthanti to Ghandruk. It is a very beautiful village of Gurung community and we will spend our night here.
Day 03 : Ghandruk – Chhomrong ( Duration: -5-6 hours)
Chhomrong is also beautiful village situated on the lap of Annapurna and it will take about 5-6 hours to get there. After leaving Ghandruk, we climb up to Kimrungdada. During an hour walk, we can see the excellent view of mountains like Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre and Gangapurna. Then, we will descend steeply to Kimrong Khola and again, we ascend to Chere Danda. From this place, we can walk comfortably to Chhomrong.
Day 04 : Chhomrong – Bamboo (2310m) Duration: 5-6 hours
Day 05 : Bamboo- Deurali Duration: 3-4 hours
Day 06 : Deurali - Annapurna Base Camp ( 4130m)- Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m) Duration: 5-6 hours
We will climb slowly through a river bed and then walk on the steep trail to reach Machhapuchhre base camp. This part of trekking is strenuous and when we reach base camp, we will be refreshed to see excellent view of Machhapuchhre, Mt. Hiunchuli, Annpurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Gandharvachuli and Gangapurna. We will move ahead towards Annapurna sanctuary, then the vegetation starts to disappear and the path widens. We feel just blessed when we get beautiful view of Annapurna from vertical south face. The 360 degree panoramic view mountains give feeling that we are in heaven of mountains. When we reach base camp of Annapurna, the enthralling view of mountains- Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Hiunchuli and other peaks give us the feelings of excitement.
Day 07 : Annapurna Base Camp- Bamboo (2310m) Duration: 7-8 hours
Now, we will trek towards Bamboo, which is downhill and it is moderate one. We feel cherished to have excellent scene of mountains and landscape.
Day 08 : Bamboo-Jhinu Danda (1760m) Duration: 5-6 hours
Day 09 : Jhinu Danda - Naya Pul and drive to Pokhara
While walking from Jhinu Danda to Naya Pul, we can enjoy the astonishing view of landscape of western Nepal. From Naya Pul, we will ride on our reserved vehicle to Pokhara.
Day 10 : Fly back to Kathmandu
Day 11 : Departure
